Weather Conditions: Fine. Comments/Notes: Previously extensive dense patches of heterozostera tasmanica? Have receded about 10% on last month's report. SW winds have been strong and frequent and may have had some effect. Also there has been a lot of high speed boat activity. There have been large fish hatches around the jetty area in the past couple of months; more so than I can remember in past years. I have explored the shallows with the macro net and found small sandworms, mussels ans some scud. I found no pipefish in the grasses yet. I am concerned about the 7.0 pH control sample I have as the instrument reading for this was 6.5, whereas it has consistently held calibration at around 7.0 over a long period of time. I have cleaned the battery connections and they cannot be blamed. I must get a new control sample from you soon.
