salt crust on bank edge looks dirty brown seed shrimps hidden in plants down on the bed little fish in water spider webs have developed on trunk now exposed by drop in water level big ants busy eating on plants on bank edge now exposed by the drop in water level upstream is now dry again - ie flow finished? downstream on other side of meander is a big tree across the river supporting 2 yellow spoonbills and 1 Nankeen Night Heron
