rainfall: 0.5mm in last 7 days, 29.4mm from 16/04/10 to 22/05/10
Phosphate reading taken at Temp=19.5 degrees
Ammonium reading taken at Temp= 20.0 and 23.9 degrees
What has changed since last time you monitored? Lower temperatures, higher ammonium , workers have been busy upstream from our site. What are the plans for that section of the creek?
What stands out about the site today? Oil/scum/rubbish below the dam wall. Branches are still blocking one of the tunnels. Not much rubbish in pit drain.
Other observations: Edendale pH and EC meters were used, as we need more practice with the new style meters in our new kit, before we can use them confidently (specially EC).
(We calibrated the Edendale and new (no 5) pH meters then tested our sample with both. The Edendale meter showed 6.9 and the new meter 7.4)
Black Ducks, Mudlark, Rainbow Lorikeets and noisy miners
