To obtain a good water sample, I had to go into the swamp at least 10-12m without stirring up too much turbidity. The waters edge had now receded another 1-2m since last month, and there was a slight odor emitting from the vegetation. Usually would hear frog calls and see the presence of bug life at the edge during the day, but not this time. As with the creek if the swamp doeasn't get a top up soon it can only get smellier during our summer period with the possibility of algae. Water temp. quite warm wouldn't help the DO or the bug life. No mosquito fish.
