Litter/Pollutants |
Joanne and her team carried out this months testsing. It was the first for several years that turbidity was at this level. Salinity, phosphate, ammonium levels very high. Joanne re-tested phosphate again as she though that they must have tested incorrectly. Phosphate remained at the same level. Even ammonium came to a big surprise. The creek definately needs a good flush out. No bug surveys carried out due to time restraint. More of a concern was the overgrown vegetation at the site. It has become a safe hazard for the students and should be notified back to council. Litter pollutants present: paper, bottles, cans, polystyrene and cardboard.
