Our college enviro group had proved themselves today. All students were interested in our concern for the quality and future of out Banyule Creek and wetlands. The rain we experienced a few days ago had replenished the creek and started flowing back to the wetlands. The chemical parameters were fairly normal with slightly higher than normal Phos and EC readings. This was mainly due to the rainfall and stormwater runoff. On the swamp front, birld life was on the way back with sightings of swans from last year. With expected rains by weeks end, should see further flows into the creek and wetlands. Hopefully we may see presence of bug activity again. Our students are looking forward to our May testing. Great students. Litter pollutants: plastic bottles.
