Last rainfall more than 4 weeks ago. The diversity and numbers of bugs were not present given the drought situation, it is pleasing to see some activity in deeper pools closer to Banyule Road. I thought I may have come accross some freshwater mussels, but upon closer inspection and reviewing my key chart, it appears they may have been called "pill" or "fingernail clam". This could be right as they were whitish in clour and the size of my small finger nail. It was a pleasant surprise anyway. I did not include these in the results due to non descriptive area for them. Mussel family?? Litter pollutants present paper, bottles, cans.
