Last rainfall more than 7 weeks ago.First time John has recorded an ammonium reading. Although water is clear, it is only a matter of time when the creek will dry up to a few pools. Phosphate levels are a concern which will eventually find its path to the Swamp. (Banyule Creek enters the Banyule swamp) Bug activity very low with only several varieities recorded. The Creek is now overgrown with weeds, and is now at stage of being unsafe for Viewbank College students to test. Test site should be cleaned up for future monitoring. Had to dilute sample by 50% to do ammonium test, very high ammonium.
