Amonium Nitrate test has not been working at this site for a while. It cannot be a problem with the chemicals, as the test worked fine on other sites immediately after this one. It can not be a problem with tempreture as the test was warmed with body heat for the full 15 minutes. When the first reagent is added to the sample it immediatly becomes milky white which does not happen at other sites. I hypothisise that there is something in the lake water that is causing the reagent to precipiate into a suspention rather than fully disolving in the sample and mixing properly with the sample. I do not know how to find out if this is the case.
