i've changed my understanding of how rainfall is reported. on previous website, it specifically asked for how much rain in last 24 hours. now, it asks simply how much rain and period is ambiguous. i had been continuing to use last 24 hours, but i interpret it in light of the previous entry which indicates the period of when any rain occurred. so, for example, this week we had 32mm but none in the last 24 hours. previously, i recorded 0mm (last 24 hours), but now i record 32mm (because the period i specified was rain during last week)
