Oxygen saturation better than usual.
Flow was slow at first but then it started to rain heavily whilst we were collecting our waterbug sample. Flow then became rapid, with water cascading over the dam wall --- patches of foam flowing downstream. Water was pouring out of the upper drain. The water was only foamy after the rain started.
A walker said that he sees the male Kangaroo most mornings, (see last month's notes.) He mentioned that a female Kangaroo was killed on close-by Karingal Drive last week. He had also seen a Rat near the dam.
Cumbungi is starting to shed seeds.
Lots of seeds on all the weed Montbretia plants.
Pieces of a dead Duck beside the indigenous plantings.
Condition of the stream bed has changed --- muddier where gravel used to be.
A Spotted Marsh Frog was calling.
