On our property there are 15 non-connectted water holes in the creek bed. They are all of a very small size from about 1-2 meters in diameter. They harbour fresh water mussels. Evidence are the many shells laying around the water holes. There are also frogs. I noticed a spoonbill fishing in one of the water holes.
Since 7 years living here I have never recorded so little rain and seen such low water levels in the dams and water holes.
