Hazards | Road traffic. Limited visibility when pulling out (either side of road) and is a busy road with cars and regular trucks, usually travelling fast. |
Litter/Pollutants |
Re risk described above, When I pulled out there was no car in my rear view and I could not hear anything, but my view is only good for about 150-200 metres due to bend in road. As soon as I got onto the road a speeding car came around the bend and although I quickly accelerated to about 70 km/hr, the car came up quickly behind and proceeded to tailgate and swerve behind me over double lines. The car persisted with this behaviour until I pulled over on the left side of the road opposite where I park for the Enders Bridge sampling. The car kept going after I pulled over.
I will look for another safer place to leave the car as long as it is not too far from the sampling site. There may be a suitable place on the road leading to the Falls.
I also have an alternative site for Stoney Creek in mind if needed.
