Pollutants in the pit drain were: bottles, cans, balls, polystyrene, scum --- and an oily smell.

A dead tadpole --- a large one --- in the bug sample.
When I visited the site later in the day to return the bug sample, I noticed that the flow had returned to normal and that the water below the dam wall was foamy. One mm of rain had fallen since the completion of the tests.
Weeds have spread across the creek downstream from the tunnels under the road.
BIRDS: Pied Currawongs, Rainbow Lorikeets, Crested Pigeons, Magpies, Corellas,
Noisy Miners, Pacific Black Ducks.
