There was a large branch (or small tree) stuck across about half of the waterway, presumably washed down by the heavy rains, and as a result there were lots of small branches, twigs, leaves and other vegetation caught there too. And so of course this semi dam-wall had also trapped all sorts of rubbish too: bottles, and tennis balls, and pieces of plastic, etc. There was also a large piece of sheet plastic or metal along the north bank. The whole area was quite a mess! The drains have become very overgrown, so it’s hard to tell if there is water flowing from them or not. Turbidity was extremely high today; samples were filtered for Ammonium and Phosphate testing. Other data were quite good, with the Dissolved Oxygen the best I have recorded at this site.
