Adjacent land use agricultual and grazing. Weather conditions were sunny during time of sampling with 2mm of rainfall more than a week ago (17.08.07). Creek fenced off to exclude cattle. Creek has flowed all during drought at this site despite ceasing to flow above and below. Cattle had access for a short time - 1st March 2007. Water scavenger beetle, Predacious Diving beetle and riffle bettle were the dominant macroinvertebrate groups found. 2006 Rainfal (mm): Jan-19, Feb-13, Mar-24, Apr-49, May-15, Jun-27, July-52, Aug-19, Sep-26.5, Oct-0, Nov-36.5, Dec-1.
