Upper to Mid Ovens, permanent flow, now running, very discoloured and fast due to recent rains on Mt Buffalo. Many bends and pebbles on sand beaches. Last 12 months southern bank has had willows removed over 2.7km distance. Water use is agricultural (grazing). Rise rapidly from recent rains. Flowing very fast with plant debris and a very muddy appearance. River beginning to go down but still running fast. 53mm rainfall received a week ago. Sunny during time of sampling. Water conditions where rapid, permanent and muddy in appearance.
