Good rainfall topped up wetlands but contributed to high turbidity of the water body. It appears that both sites are holding their own in qulaity, so wll be scaliing down the scheduled testing from monthy to quarterly. With both wetlands reporting consistant readings without any dramatic changes, I will be recommending this change to max harker. Bug activity is still lively with plenty of frog calls around the waters edge. No more bug sampling will be carried out until spring. Managed to view microscopic samples which included seed shrimp and copepods carrying eggs. Great stuff outside the normal viewing. Will ammend the group monitoring plan to reflect changes.
