Litter/Pollutants |
The quality and appearance of the creek at several areas is disturbing. At the main drain off Yallambie Rd, the amount of rubbish and introduced plants into the creek and edges should be controlled. Nearly 100mts of creek edge both sides would be an ideal staring point for weed control and revegetation project for a friends group. The creek banks are suffering from errosion, and considered a safety issue as they are showing signs of collapsing. Max and i inspected another area where the banks had collapsed and entered the waterways. Salinity content was more than half from last month, with a .1 reduction in phosphate quality, no bugs. Litter pollutants visable: paper, bottles, cans, plastic, polysyrene, cardboard, mettalic object, and other.
