This area 1st aquisition of KLNP in 1926, lots of lyrebird scratchings, whirlygig beelte adults in stream. Saw male lyrebird. Known mountain galaxia and balckfish site before the bushfires. Blackfish caught post fire. Not good for breeding now because too turbid. Too much ash. Glutinous egg masses - get clogged by ash. Blackfish eggs are a good bioindicator of tubridity in streams. Extreme lyrebird scratchings. - seedling dug up. Most surviving ones are nestled in bases of trees.
