Test done specifically to measure turbidity during high stormwater flows. In this case 31.7mm had fallen since 17.30 (last 3 hours) with peak rates up to 100 mm/hr.
Bank erosion upstream and siltation downstream is an increasing threat to river health.
Turbidity during high flows is up to 100 times background levels.
