Mud has recently been dug out of the Aqueduct createing greater depth, but the water is so low that it cannot flow through pipes between pools, so is not currently flowing. Fish are trapped in individual pools of water and the temperature of the water is 10 degrees higher in the Aqueduct than other village steams due to prolonged hot, dry weather.
