Ammonium was very high; I needed to dilute the sample 1:1 in order to get a reading. The sound of water entering the drain upstream a bit was quite noticeable, coming from under the road or even a bit further in. I can’t help but wonder if this might have been the source of the ammonium pollution, particularly because back at Fort Knox the level was not unusually high. Interestingly, these ammonium results are very similar to last month’s, when again I could hear water entering the drain upstream somewhere.
